The well-known abbreviation REACh stands for "Registration, Evaluation, Authorization and restriction of Chemicals". This comprehensive regulatory framework came into force on the 1st
June, 2007, and will be incorporated into our operational practice over the period until 2018.
| |
REACh regulations will replace multiple, existing European directives with the aim to further minimize the risks of chemical substances for people as well as the negative influences on nature and the environment.
| |
For annual volumes of 1 ton or more, manufacturers and importers of chemical substances active in Europe will need to maintain comprehensive documentation on chemical composition of their products. Physical, chemical and eco-toxicity data will be generated on each substance and this will need to be reported to the European Chemicals Agency to obtain a full registration license for import.

REACh regulations prescribe the need for detailed information on the exposures and downstream usage of our pigments for registration of our products. As such we may require information from our customers to ensure all our pigments are properly registered. We suggest a partnership approach to REACh, and in the near future we may contact our customers for the mutual exchange of information. |
